Community Planting for National Tree Day
Join us at Harold Park for a family-friendly planting event to boost biodiversity and support native wildlife.
Celebrate National Tree Day by joining a community planting event focused on enhancing urban biodiversity. This engaging activity invites families to plant native grasses, herbs, and wildflowers that support local insects and birds, creating a safer habitat corridor for wildlife.
What to Expect
You will be planting 5000 native plants including grasses that attract bees and butterflies, helping to improve pollination and food sources for birds. The event is designed for all ages, making it a perfect opportunity for parents and children to connect with nature and learn about urban ecology.
Activity Details
There are two planting sessions available: Friday 25 July and Sunday 27 July, both from 10am to 12pm. The planting will take place at Harold Park and Federal Park in Glebe.
