You will learn how to add flaps to your journal pages, enhancing storytelling and observation. Whether you're a beginner or experienced artist, this workshop offers a relaxing and mindful experience to slow down and appreciate the natural world.

Activity Details
This 3-hour workshop is designed for adults aged 16 and over, with interested children aged 10+ welcome if accompanied by an adult. Participants will walk 1-2 km over uneven, sloping terrain, so comfortable footwear and readiness for outdoor activity are essential.
Materials provided include watercolour paper, scissors, tapes, watercolour pencils, paints, and brushes. You are encouraged to bring your own journal or sketchbook and favourite art supplies to expand your creative options.
Dress for the outdoors with layers, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and bring a water bottle and a folding chair or mat for comfort.
Location and Access
The workshop takes place at the Welcome Building, Binna Burra, located at 1040 Binna Burra Rd, Binna Burra QLD 4211. This is the first building on the left after the Visitor Information Centre.
Binna Burra is known for its cooler temperatures compared to nearby Gold Coast or Brisbane, so prepare accordingly. The setting offers a serene rainforest environment perfect for mindful nature journaling.
Please note the terrain involves some walking on uneven ground, so accessibility may be limited for those with mobility issues.
Important Information
The workshop will be cancelled in case of heavy rain or inclement weather, with full refunds provided to participants. It is recommended to bring extra layers due to cooler temperatures at Binna Burra.
The class size is limited to 25 participants to ensure a quality experience. The workshop encourages mindfulness and nature connection through the KNACK approach, enhancing observation skills and self-expression.
