What to Expect
Immerse yourself in a meaningful workshop that delves into First Nations art and culture. This session is designed to deepen your understanding of connection to Country, cultural identity, and symbolism in First Nations art. Whether you are an artist, part of an art group, or simply curious, this workshop offers a valuable opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect.
The workshop will also cover cultural safety, common misunderstandings, and how to avoid cultural misappropriation in art and representation. Light refreshments will be provided to keep you comfortable and engaged throughout the session.
Activity Details
This free workshop is hosted by Mitchell Shire Council and delivered by the Koorie Heritage Trust. It will take place on Thursday, 11 June 2026, from 18:00 to 20:30 at the Broadford Senior Citizens Hall.
