What to Expect

This series is designed for all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your creative talents.

Closed-toe shoes are compulsory for participation, and wearing practical old clothes is recommended to keep comfortable and clean throughout the sessions.
Activity Details
This workshop series takes place over three Tuesdays: 12th, 19th, and 26th May 2026, from 10:00 to 12:30 each day. The ticket price of $105 covers all three sessions and includes all materials needed for the mosaic birdbath project.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in mosaic art, learning techniques such as tile cutting, arranging, and grouting. The sessions are paced to allow creativity and personal expression, with plenty of guidance from the instructor.
This series is ideal for parents looking for a creative outlet or a meaningful activity to enjoy during the day, with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages lifelong learning and community connection.
Location and Access
The workshops are held at The Summit Community Centre, located at 4 Crescent Drive, Norton Summit SA 5136. The venue offers accessible facilities including disabled parking, toilets, and ramps.
Parking is limited on site, so carpooling is encouraged. Additional parking is available along Crescent Drive near Norton Summit Primary School and behind the Norton Summit CFS, with safe crossing advice provided.
The community centre is inclusive and welcoming to all, including LGBTQI+ individuals and families, with facilities to support parents such as baby change tables and kitchen amenities.
Important Information
Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and practical old clothes to protect against mess. The workshops will be cancelled without notice if an Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, with refunds or rescheduling offered.
Weather considerations include bringing a torch or phone light if attending evening events, and dressing for cooler conditions with an umbrella if needed.
The community centre operates Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 15:00 and is closed on Fridays and public holidays.
