What to Expect
Experience a unique and engaging creative workshop where you can share your funny, scary, or inspiring stories about encounters with creatures that live around Moreton Bay. This event welcomes everyone to write or draw their stories and peg them on the Storyline for others to enjoy.
You will have the opportunity to read other participants' stories and even share your story with multidisciplinary artist Kylie Harries, who will illustrate it for you. This is a wonderful chance to connect with nature and community through storytelling and art.
Whether you have a memorable encounter with a carpet snake or other local wildlife, this workshop invites you to celebrate the joy and humour found in everyday interactions with nature.
Activity Details
The workshop is free to attend and suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families looking for a creative and educational outing. Kylie Harries, the artist leading the workshop, is passionate about rewilding and regenerative agriculture, bringing a rich storytelling tradition to the event.
The event will take place at Dragonfly Park in Warner on Saturday, 30 May 2026, from 09:00 to 14:00. It is part of a series of appearances by The Wonder Wagon at local festivals including Sips and Sounds and Craftival.
Participants can expect a relaxed and welcoming environment where creativity and nature appreciation come together. No prior experience in art or writing is necessary.
