Curious Kids is a hands-on, engaging program designed for primary school-aged children who love to solve problems, enjoy challenges, and want to get creative. This STEAM-based activity encourages curiosity and learning through fun, interactive experiences.
Children will have the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics in a supportive and friendly environment. Parents and carers can expect their children to be actively involved in stimulating tasks that promote critical thinking and creativity.
This program is perfect for parents looking to inspire their kids with educational activities during school terms.
The sessions run weekly on Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, starting on 2026-04-30 and continuing through to 2026-06-25. Each session offers a unique challenge or creative project related to STEAM topics.
Parents and carers must supervise their children at all times, especially those under 10 years old, who must remain within sight of a responsible adult. The program encourages social interaction but respects personal boundaries and privacy.
Photography may occur during the sessions; parents can notify staff if they prefer their child not to be photographed or physically engaged with others.
The program is held at Canungra Library, located at 12 Kidston St, Canungra QLD 4275. The library is a welcoming community space with easy access and parking nearby.
Families can enjoy the quiet and resourceful environment of the library, which supports learning and creativity for children and adults alike.
The venue is accessible and provides a safe space for children to explore and engage with the activities.
Parents and carers are responsible for supervising their children throughout the program. Children under 10 must be within sight of an adult at all times.
Respect for personal boundaries is emphasized; please ask permission before engaging with children who are not your own.
If you have any concerns about photography or physical interaction, please communicate with the library staff to ensure your child’s comfort and safety.
The sessions are free to attend, making it an accessible opportunity for families to engage in educational activities without financial burden.
Bookings are recommended to ensure a spot, as places may be limited. Contact the Canungra Library for registration details.
