Discover the joy of hands-on learning with Curious Kids at Canungra Library. This engaging program invites primary school-aged children to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) through fun challenges and creative activities designed to spark curiosity and problem-solving skills.
Children will have the opportunity to get creative, solve problems, and enjoy a supportive environment that encourages learning through play. Parents can expect their kids to be actively engaged and inspired by the interactive sessions.
This program is perfect for young minds eager to explore new ideas and develop critical thinking in a friendly community setting.
Each session runs for one hour from 15:00 to 16:00 on Thursdays, starting from 12 February 2026 and continuing weekly until 2 April 2026. The program is designed specifically for primary school-aged children, ensuring age-appropriate challenges and activities.
Parents and carers are required to supervise their children at all times, with children under 10 needing to remain within sight of a responsible adult. The sessions encourage social interaction, but parents can choose the level of engagement their child has with staff and other participants.
Photography may occur during the event, so parents are encouraged to inform staff if they prefer their child not to be included in photos or physical interactions such as handshakes or high fives.
The Curious Kids program takes place at Canungra Library, located at 12 Kidston St, Canungra QLD 4275. The library is a welcoming community space easily accessible for families in the Scenic Rim region.
Parking is available nearby, and the venue is suitable for children and parents to comfortably participate in the activities. The library staff are friendly and ready to assist with any needs during the sessions.
Supervision is key: parents and carers must supervise children throughout the program. Children under 10 must be within sight of a responsible adult.
Respect for personal boundaries is emphasized; always ask permission before engaging with children who are not your own.
Children may interact with staff and peers naturally; parents who prefer limited interaction should stay close to their child.
Photography and physical contact policies are in place to ensure all children feel safe and comfortable.
Attendance details and booking information can be found on the Canungra Library website or by contacting the library directly. The program is community-focused and may be free or low cost, but parents should confirm availability and any fees.
Spaces may be limited, so early booking is recommended to secure a spot for your child in this popular STEAM program.
