What to Expect
This engaging workshop series offers a supportive space for dads and male carers to connect, learn, and grow together. Facilitated by Tony Vallance, a dad, therapist, and experienced educator, the sessions focus on real-life challenges and practical strategies for fatherhood.
You will explore how to build stronger connections with your children and other dads, understand your child’s brain and behavior, and gain confidence in handling tough conversations. The series also highlights the power of play as a tool for positive parenting.
Whether you are a dad, step-parent, grandfather, or male carer, these workshops provide valuable insights and community support to help you give your kids the best chance to thrive.
Activity Details
The workshop runs over four consecutive Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting on April 22, 2026, and concluding on May 13, 2026. Each session covers a different theme:
- Building stronger connections with your kids and other dads
- Understanding your child’s brain, behavior, and world
- Handling tough talks with confidence
- Using play as a superpower
All sessions are free of charge and facilitated by Tony Vallance from Building Better Brains, who brings years of experience working with families.
Location and Access
The workshops take place at the Frankston North Community Centre, located at 26 Mahogany Avenue, Frankston North, 3200. The venue is accessible and welcoming, providing a comfortable environment for meaningful conversations.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it easy for participants to attend after work or other daytime commitments.
Important Information
This workshop series is designed specifically for male carers who want to enhance their parenting skills and support their children’s development. It is suitable for dads, step-parents, grandfathers, and other male carers.
Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions to get the full benefit of the program. The sessions are interactive and provide opportunities to share experiences and learn from others.
