You will board the train at Belgrave and take a leisurely ride to Lakeside, where you can soak in the stunning views before returning to Belgrave. This trip is designed to be enjoyable and accessible for independent seniors.

The trip departs on Wednesday 18 March 2026, with the bus leaving Noble Park Aquatic Centre at 08:15 and returning at 14:30. Participants will ride Puffing Billy steam train from Belgrave to Lakeside and back.
Admission costs are $64 for adults and $51 for concession holders. Lunch can be purchased at the café or brought along from home, allowing flexibility to suit your preferences.
Please note that participants must be residents of the City of Greater Dandenong and registered users of the Community Transport Service. Mobility aids are accommodated, but participants need to be independent and mobile.
The trip begins and ends at Noble Park Aquatic Centre, located at 9 Memorial Drive, Noble Park. There is free all-day parking available at the venue.
Transport to and from the venue is provided by bus, which departs at 08:15 and returns at 14:30. This convenient arrangement ensures a stress-free experience without the need to drive.
The train journey itself takes place in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, offering beautiful natural scenery and a peaceful environment.
Bookings open on Tuesday 20 January at 09:00 and are accepted by phone only. Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one trip per month per participant.
A 24-hour cancellation policy applies, and terms and conditions must be observed. Participants should be independent and mobile; however, mobility aids are supported.
