This engaging Defence Masterclass is designed to demystify the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) for businesses looking to engage with Defence and sensitive supply chains. It offers a clear, practical approach to understanding DISP's purpose and the steps needed to obtain and maintain membership, making it ideal for organisations new to the program or those seeking to strengthen their security posture.
Participants will gain insights into the role of DISP in protecting Australia's national security interests and learn how to determine if DISP is relevant to their organisation. The workshop covers the relationship between DISP, the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and other Defence security requirements. Attendees will also explore practical tips for preparing successful DISP applications and navigating the DISP Portal.
This half-day workshop runs from 07:30 to 12:30 and is facilitated by Rachel Falzon, a Senior Defence Industry Consultant from Novel Management, along with guest experts. Topics include compliance obligations, membership responsibilities, common application pitfalls, and critical success factors. Participants are requested to bring a laptop to fully engage with the practical elements.
