Activity Details
The event runs from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, with activity hubs at Woodside and Mount Torrens. Highlights include:
- Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country at Woodside
- Speaker Bike Ride: an 11 km musical cycling tour from Woodside to Mount Torrens with DJ Sepia
- Mount Torrens Market with local stalls, activities, and entertainment
- Nature play, face painting, mobile library, and food stalls at Woodside
Bike hire is available through Bike About at Woody Trails, offering electric and standard bikes for families to explore at their own pace.
Location and Access
The event takes place along the Amy Gillett Bikeway, a mostly off-road paved trail stretching through the Adelaide Hills Council region. Key locations include Woodside and Mount Torrens Oval.
Parking is available at Gillman Reserve Oakbank, Woody Trails on Station Road, and various spots near Mount Torrens Oval including Oval Road adjacent to the Bikeway.
The pathway is family-friendly and encourages safe sharing of the trail by keeping left and being mindful of others, including children and pets.
Important Information
The event is free to attend and suitable for all ages, making it ideal for families looking for a healthy, fun day outdoors.
In case of extreme or catastrophic fire danger ratings for the Mount Lofty Ranges district on the event day, the event will be cancelled to ensure safety.
Participants are encouraged to book bike hire in advance to guarantee availability and to prepare for a day of active play and cultural connection.

Bike hire from Bike About is available for full-day rental and should be booked ahead to secure your preferred bike.
