What to Expect
Take to the skies in this engaging workshop where technology meets flight! This session introduces children to the basics of drone operation and coding using CoDrone, a beginner-friendly programmable drone. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a sense of adventure.
Participants will learn how drones work, write simple code to control flight paths, and test their skills in exciting flying challenges. It’s a fantastic way to spark interest in STEM and develop problem-solving abilities.

Activity Details
The workshop runs every Tuesday in June 2026 from 15:30 to 16:30, with sessions on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Each session is designed to be hands-on and engaging, allowing participants to practice coding and flying drones in a supportive environment.
Ages 8 to 15 years are welcome to join, making it ideal for primary and early secondary school children. The sessions are free of charge, encouraging families to participate without financial barriers.
No previous knowledge of drones or coding is required, so beginners are warmly welcomed.

The event takes place at Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library, located at 10 Footbridge Boulevard, Wentworth Point, NSW 2127. The venue is accessible by public transport and offers a welcoming community environment.
Parents can drop off their children or stay and observe the workshop. The community centre provides a safe and comfortable space for learning and exploration.

Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start at 15:30. Children should wear comfortable clothing suitable for indoor activities.
