The Oxygen Youth Space offers a lively environment where teens can enjoy a variety of activities including pool, board games, music rehearsals, crafts, and video games. It’s a parent-free zone fully supervised by friendly Merri-bek Youth team members, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Whether your child wants to shoot some hoops on the indoor basketball court, challenge friends to ping pong, or simply hang out with peers in a quiet space or prayer room, there’s something for everyone. The space also provides free WiFi and a kitchen area for snacks, making it a perfect spot to unwind after school.
This drop-in program encourages social connection, creativity, and active play, all within a community-focused setting that nurtures young people’s wellbeing and interests.
Activity Details
The drop-in sessions run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon during the school term from 15:00 to 17:00. No bookings are required, so teens can come and go as they please. The program is completely free, removing barriers to participation.

The space is fully supervised by the Merri-bek Youth team who are there to support and engage with participants.
Location and Access
Oxygen Youth Space is located at 4-8 Gaffney Street, Coburg North. It is easily accessible by public transport, just a one-minute walk from the #37 tram stop at Gaffney St/Sydney Rd and a five-minute walk from Batman train station on the Upfield Line.
