The Oxygen Youth Space offers a vibrant environment where young people aged 12 to 18 can drop in and enjoy a variety of activities. From pool and ping pong to music rehearsal rooms and craft areas, there’s something to spark every interest.
This parent-free zone is fully supervised by the friendly Merri-bek Youth team, ensuring a supportive atmosphere where teens can relax, socialize, and be themselves. Whether your child wants to play video games on PlayStation or Xbox, practice music, or just chill with friends, Oxygen Youth Space has it all.
The space is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon during the school term from 15:00 to 17:00. No bookings are required—just drop in whenever it suits your schedule. The venue includes an indoor multipurpose space with a basketball hoop, a quiet prayer space, free WiFi, and a kitchen.
Activities include:
- Pool table and board games
- Music rehearsal room
- Craft sessions
- Video gaming (PlayStation and Xbox)

Oxygen Youth Space is located at 4-8 Gaffney Street, Coburg North. It’s easily accessible by public transport, just a one-minute walk from the #37 tram stop at Gaffney St/Sydney Rd, or a five-minute walk from Batman train station on the Upfield Line.
The venue is designed to be welcoming and accessible for all young people in the community, providing a safe and inclusive environment.
This is a free program with no need to book in advance. It’s a parent-free zone, so young people can enjoy their time independently but with full supervision by the Merri-bek Youth team.
The space is open only during the school term on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3pm to 5pm. It’s suitable for ages 12 to 18 years old.
