What to Expect
Step into a world of colour and animation with Eastwood Stories, an engaging digital artwork that brings local culture and stories to life. This event invites families to immerse themselves in a unique community art experience that lights up the night.
You will have the chance to choose and colour illustrated designs, which will then become part of the animated display. It’s a wonderful opportunity to share stories, meet new people, and enjoy a creative evening together.
Light refreshments and snacks will be available, making it a perfect outing for parents and children to enjoy art in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Activity Details
Eastwood Stories is presented by Art Thinking and features the work of local artist Chris Yee. The digital artwork is co-created with the community, inspired by Eastwood’s identity and heritage.
The event runs over two evenings, each from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing plenty of time to explore the interactive displays and participate in the colouring activities.
This family-friendly event is free to attend and encourages creativity and community connection through digital art.
Location and Access
The event takes place outside Eastwood Library near Eastwood Oval, at the corner of Hillview Road and West Parade, Eastwood, NSW 2122.
This accessible outdoor location is easy to reach by car or public transport, with ample space for families to gather comfortably.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to fully enjoy the interactive experience and the vibrant atmosphere of the event.
Important Information
The event is scheduled for Friday, 26 June 2026, and Saturday, 27 June 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM each evening.
Participants can engage in colouring activities that will be incorporated into the digital animation, making it a truly collaborative community artwork.
