What to Expect
During Explorers Play, you will have the chance to connect with other families and share valuable ideas about play and early childhood education. Enjoy a variety of engaging play activities tailored to young children, including group time featuring songs, books, and enticing activities. Your child will have opportunities to develop skills in movement, play, and communication while you chat with professionals and ask questions about your child's development.
Activity Details
This playgroup is held weekly on Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, running throughout the year except on public holidays. Sessions last 1.5 hours and are free of charge. The group welcomes families, grandparents, and siblings, including those seeking specialist developmental support. The playgroup is facilitated by a speech pathologist and an early childhood specialist who support your child’s play and exploration.
Location and Access
The playgroup takes place indoors at Plumtree Children’s Services, located at Yabsley Avenue, Jarvie Park, Marrickville, NSW 2204. The indoor setting ensures the playgroup runs regardless of weather conditions. The venue is accessible and family-friendly, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Important Information
Please note that if the program is full, you can join a waitlist and will be contacted when a place becomes available. Only one ticket per family is required to RSVP. The playgroup values diversity and warmly welcomes all families. It is funded by the NSW Department of Education Start Strong Pathways Program, ensuring quality support and resources.

Attendance is free, but RSVP is required to help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment. You can register online, and if the group reaches capacity, a waitlist is available.
