Location and Access
Long Forest Mallee is located along Long Forest Road in Harkness, just a few kilometers past Sundew Avenue. To reach the site, drive through Melton along High Street, head west along the old Western Highway towards Bacchus Marsh, then turn north into Long Forest Road after Anthonys Cutting.
The reserve carpark is just after Sundew Avenue on the left; it can be easy to miss, so slow down and look carefully for the entrance.
This natural setting offers a serene backdrop for the bird walk and is accessible by car with parking available on site.

Please bring water, sun protection, and insect repellent to ensure a comfortable experience. The walk involves some gentle terrain, so suitable footwear is recommended.
