What to Expect
Immerse yourself in the world of fashion illustration guided by Melbourne-based artist Angie Réhe. This engaging one-day course invites you to explore dynamic poses and creative techniques to capture garment details inspired by the NGV's Radical Aesthetics exhibition.
You will learn to express couture fashion through gesture, colour, and impression, creating your own series of original artworks. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this workshop welcomes all skill levels with materials provided.
The day begins with an insightful talk by Charlotte Botica, Assistant Curator of Fashion and Textiles, introducing you to key works from the NGV Collection that will inspire your creative process.
Activity Details
Held in the NGV’s Learn Studios, this hands-on workshop runs from 12:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, 25 July 2026. Angie Réhe will share her expertise, drawing on her extensive background working with top fashion clients like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
Participants will explore exaggerated and expressive fashion illustration techniques, focusing on capturing the essence of couture garments. All art materials are included in the course fee.
This course also offers professional learning opportunities for teachers, aligning with AITSL standards and providing certificates on request.
