Fawkner Fastbreak offers a welcoming and safe environment where young people aged 12 to 18 can enjoy indoor sports like basketball and soccer. It's a perfect way for kids to meet new friends, have fun, and take a break after school. No prior experience is needed, making it accessible for everyone.
Sessions are led by friendly youth workers who encourage teamwork, positivity, and participation. Snacks are provided to keep energy levels up, so your child can focus on having a great time.
This program is designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring all participants feel comfortable and engaged in a positive atmosphere.
The sessions run weekly on Thursdays from 15:15 to 17:00, starting on 2026-08-06 and continuing through September. The program focuses on fun and teamwork rather than competition, making it ideal for young people looking to try new sports or simply enjoy active play.
Please note that the program will be cancelled if the temperature reaches 28 degrees Celsius or higher due to lack of air conditioning. This ensures the safety and comfort of all participants.
No booking is required; just drop in and join the fun. This flexibility makes it easy for busy families to fit the sessions into their schedules.
The sessions take place at Fawkner Community Sports Hall, located at 77 Jukes Rd, Fawkner. The venue is easily accessible by public transport:
- Bus: Approximately 81 meters from bus route 530 on Minona Street/Jukes Road or 200 meters from bus route 530 at Fawkner Leisure Centre/Jukes Road
- Train: About 1 km from Gowrie Station on the Upfield line
