What to Expect

Activity Details
The workshop includes all ingredients and cooking equipment needed for the session. Bahiyeh will provide step-by-step guidance to ensure you feel confident preparing each dish. Recipes will be provided for you to take home and recreate the flavours of Persia in your own kitchen.

Location and Access
The event is held at the Torrens Valley Community Centre, located at 45 Albert St, Gumeracha SA 5233. The community centre is part of the Gumeracha Community Hub, which also includes the town hall and library.
Parking is available in multiple areas around the community hub, including electric charging stations and disabled parking spaces. The centre is wheelchair accessible with ramps and disabled toilets on site. Evening attendees are advised to bring a torch or phone light for safe access.
Important Information
The community centre is inclusive and welcoming to all, including LGBTQI+ individuals and breastfeeding parents. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, toilets with baby change tables, and a comfortable function room.
In case of Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the centre will be closed and the event cancelled or rescheduled with refunds provided.
Participants should dress for cooler weather in the evening and consider bringing an umbrella if attending in winter.
