Collect your free kitchen caddy and a complimentary roll of compostable liners from any of the five Port Phillip libraries. These caddies make it simple to carry food scraps to your FOGO bin or communal recycling hubs.
Whether you live in a house or an apartment, there are convenient options to access these caddies and start your recycling journey today.
- Free kitchen caddies and compostable liners are available at Albert Park, Emerald Hill, Middle Park, Port Melbourne, and St Kilda libraries.
- Residents in low-rise blocks (12 units or less) can have caddies delivered to their doorstep if accessible.
- Larger apartment buildings can request bulk deliveries via their owners corporation or building manager.
- Up to five caddies can be collected per person on behalf of other residents.
This program is part of the City of Port Phillip’s commitment to reducing waste and promoting sustainable living practices.

The FOGO recycling service is being rolled out progressively to apartment buildings with Council waste collection. Collections for Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday services start the week of 2023-11-13, with Wednesday and Friday services beginning by mid-2024.
Due to storage limits, individuals can only collect up to five caddies on behalf of others. Owners corporations and building managers can arrange bulk deliveries by contacting the Waste Management Services team.
This initiative supports the City of Port Phillip’s environmental goals and encourages community participation in reducing landfill waste.
