Food for Thought offers a supportive and informative online session designed specifically for parents and families navigating the exciting milestone of introducing solid foods to their babies. Facilitated by a Yarra City Council Maternal Child Health Nurse alongside the North Richmond CHC paediatric allied health team, this event provides up-to-date research and practical tips to help you confidently support your child's nutrition journey.
Join a welcoming online environment where expert guidance covers key topics such as when to start solids, appropriate first foods, and the nutritional needs of your baby. You'll also explore the differences between baby-led weaning and purees, understand food allergies and sensitivities, and receive advice on making mealtimes enjoyable for your little one.
This session is delivered via Zoom, making it easy to participate from the comfort of your home. The event is perfect for parents with babies approaching the stage of solid food introduction. The interactive format allows you to ask questions and engage with health professionals dedicated to child nutrition and development.
All sessions are held online through Zoom, ensuring accessibility regardless of your location. Simply register in advance to receive the link and instructions for joining the session. This format is ideal for busy parents looking for convenient, expert advice without the need to travel.
Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a device capable of running Zoom. The session is suitable for parents and caregivers of babies ready to start solids. Attendance is free, but registration is required to secure your place and receive session details.
Registration is essential and can be completed online through the Yarra City Council website. The session is free of charge, providing valuable support and information at no cost to families. Upcoming dates include Tuesday, 10 March 2026, from 13:00 to 15:00, with additional sessions offered earlier in the year.
