Discover the fascinating world of sound in this engaging workshop where you'll record everyday noises and transform them into creative musical compositions. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just curious, this program offers something for everyone interested in exploring sound.
You'll learn how to sample sounds from your surroundings, from the drone of a metal pole to the crunch of leaves, and manipulate them using audio software. This hands-on experience encourages creativity and experimentation with soundscapes and collages.
Bring your own device if you have preferred music software, or use the supplied equipment. A phone with a voice recorder app is also useful for capturing sounds on the go.
This weekly program runs every Thursday from April 30 to May 21, 2026, between 16:00 and 18:00. It is suitable for adults and youth aged 15 and over, providing a relaxed and supportive environment to learn and create.
Each session focuses on recording and sampling techniques, allowing participants to build their own unique sound pieces or enhance existing music. Booking is essential as spaces are limited.
