What to Expect
Empower yourself with essential self-defence skills designed specifically for adult women and girls aged 13 and above. This workshop offers practical techniques that are easy to learn and apply, even without intensive training.
You will gain confidence in recognising potentially dangerous situations and learn how to stay calm and composed through breathing techniques. The sessions are friendly, supportive, and focused on real-world scenarios.
Whether you choose the workshop on the 7th or 14th of February, you will be part of a small group ensuring personalised attention and effective learning.
Activity Details
This workshop is hosted by Kei Shin Kan Karate, a local traditional karate school, and funded by Randwick City Council. Each session runs for 1.5 hours, starting with registration and preparation from 12:00 to 12:30, followed by lessons until 14:00.
You will learn how to pre-empt dangerous situations, use breathing techniques to maintain calm, and execute effective defence moves against common attacks.
Classes are free but limited in size, so early registration is essential to secure your spot.

The workshops take place in Hall 1 at Kensington Park Community Centre, located at 1 Day Lane, Kensington, NSW.
