The French Conversation Club at Coburg Library offers a welcoming space for parents and families to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while practicing French. This monthly gathering is perfect for those interested in exploring the rich stories, history, music, literature, and arts of French-speaking communities.
Join a vibrant group of language enthusiasts in a relaxed setting where conversation flows naturally. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, the sessions encourage sharing and learning through engaging discussions. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and deepen your appreciation for French culture.
The club meets on the first Saturday of every month from 13:30 to 15:00. Each session focuses on different themes related to French-speaking communities, including their arts and heritage. The environment is informal and supportive, ideal for school-aged children accompanied by parents who want to foster language skills.
Held at Coburg Library, located at the corner of Victoria and Louisa Street, Coburg, the venue is easily accessible by public transport. You can take the Sydney Road tram route no. 19 to stop 33 or the Upfield train line to Coburg Station. The library is a friendly community hub with facilities to accommodate various needs.
Please inform the organizers if you have any access requirements to ensure a comfortable experience. The club welcomes participants of all levels and encourages a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Refreshments like tea and coffee are available to enjoy during the sessions.
Participation in the French Conversation Club is free of charge. No prior registration is required, but you can contact the library for more details or any questions. This is a great no-cost activity to enrich your family's cultural and language experiences.
