What to Expect
Step into a supportive and energizing environment designed exclusively for girls and women aged 12 to 24, including trans and femme-identifying individuals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some boxing experience, these sessions will have you punching, skipping, and sweating while laughing and enjoying yourself.
Expect a mix of shadow boxing, bag work, and core workouts that will challenge your strength and endurance. The sessions also include bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges, push-ups, and burpees, all tailored to keep the vibe fun and inclusive.
This is a perfect opportunity to boost your fitness, improve your mood, and connect with others in a welcoming space.
Activity Details
The classes run weekly on Tuesdays during the school term from 17:30 to 18:30. Each session is led by professional coach Stephanie Mfongwot, who brings energy and expertise to every workout.
The program is free of charge and suitable for all fitness levels. You don’t need any prior boxing experience to join in and benefit from the workouts.
Future dates include Tuesdays from 21 July 2026 through 15 September 2026, providing a consistent routine to build your skills and fitness.
Location and Access
Sessions take place at Oxygen Youth Space, located at 4 - 8 Gaffney Street, Coburg North. The venue is easily accessible by public transport.
Tram users can hop off at the #37 tram stop on Gaffney Street/Sydney Road, just a one-minute walk away. If you prefer the train, Batman station on the Upfield line is only a five-minute walk from the venue.
The space is designed to be welcoming and safe for all participants.
