Discover the fascinating world of local owls in this engaging community workshop. You'll have the unique opportunity to meet live owls and learn about their importance to our environment. This hands-on event invites you to paint owl nesting boxes that will be placed around Bullsbrook to support these native birds.
Bring your curiosity and any questions you have about owls, plus a paint shirt to keep your clothes clean. Capture the moment with your camera as you connect with nature and contribute to local wildlife conservation.
This free program is suitable for ages 12 and up, making it perfect for families with older children and youth interested in wildlife. The workshop runs for two hours, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Each participant must reserve their own ticket to ensure a spot. Photography and videography may be taken for promotional use by the City of Swan and event partners.

This presentation is made possible through the volunteers at North Swan Landcare group, in partnership with Bendigo Bank and Bullsbrook Mens Shed. Their local owl project focuses on education and conservation efforts to protect these native species.
Participants are encouraged to bring a paint shirt to avoid staining clothes during the nesting box painting activity. The workshop is hands-on and interactive, designed to engage youth and adults alike.
