Experience a magical blend of light and storytelling designed especially for children aged 4 to 8. This interactive performance places your child at the heart of an enchanting UV light show inside a custom-built tent, where glowing drawings bring stories and imagined worlds to life.
After the show, children get hands-on by creating and illustrating their own stories using glowing UV light, sparking creativity and imagination in a unique setting.
This intimate and immersive experience encourages children to explore storytelling in a fun, engaging way that combines visual art with performance.
The performance runs for 30 minutes, with two sessions on 28 March 2026: 12:00pm to 12:30pm and 1:00pm to 1:30pm. If you need to accompany your child inside the tent, please book a ticket for yourself as well.
The event is wheelchair accessible; please notify the organisers in advance for any additional access needs to ensure a comfortable experience.
Please note that the performance takes place inside a small, moderately dark tent where shoes must be removed before entry. A relaxed attitude towards noise and movement is encouraged to maintain the immersive atmosphere.
Held at the Torrens Valley Community Centre, 45 Albert Street, Gumeracha SA 5233, the venue is part of the Community Hub, which includes the Gumeracha Town Hall and library.
Parking is available around the community hub with electric charging spots and disabled parking spaces. The rear or skatepark side parking offers the best lighting for safe entry.
The centre is inclusive and accessible, featuring ramps, disabled toilets, and welcoming facilities for all families, including those with additional needs.
The event is free of charge and suitable for children aged 4 to 8 years. If accompanying your child inside the tent, please book a ticket for yourself.
In case of Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the community centre will be closed, and events cancelled or rescheduled with refunds provided.
Bring a torch or phone light if attending evening events, and dress for cooler weather with an umbrella if needed.
Tickets are free but must be booked in advance to secure your place. Booking is essential especially if a parent or guardian needs to accompany a child inside the performance tent.
