What to Expect
Welcome spring with a refreshing guided walk through the bushland and around Lakes Edge Park in The Ponds. Mark Fuller from Avianation will lead the walk, helping you identify and learn about the fascinating local birdlife. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature and discover the birds that call this area home.
You'll also learn about how we can improve our local waterways to ensure these birds continue to thrive in their natural habitat. Each participant will receive a free bird identification chart to enhance the experience. Feel free to bring your own binoculars to get a closer look at birds resting in trees or reeds.
Please wear sensible clothing and covered footwear, and bring a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen to stay comfortable during the walk.

The walk will start and finish at Jonas Bradley Reserve, where we will meet in the carpark. The event is family-friendly and free for Blacktown residents, but booking is essential as places are limited. The walk will last approximately two hours, providing a relaxed pace suitable for all ages.
