The ride covers a gentle 10km route through bicycle-friendly streets spanning Beaconsfield, Rosebery, Zetland, Alexandria, and Waterloo. It’s perfect for families with school-aged children who enjoy outdoor activities and want to learn about local heritage.
Friendly ride leaders from Pedal Set Go will guide you, sharing insights and tips for navigating the city by bike safely and confidently.
The ride starts promptly at 10:00 and finishes around 12:00. Participants should arrive by 9:45am for registration and a briefing. You will need your own roadworthy bike and helmet, along with water and snacks to stay refreshed.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, making this a great family outing. For added confidence, participants are encouraged to complete the Cycling in the City course beforehand, which equips riders with essential skills for urban cycling.

This event is hosted by City of Sydney in partnership with Pedal Set Go, promoting healthy, sustainable transport and community engagement.
Participants must bring their own bike and helmet; rental bikes are not provided. The ride is suitable for school-aged children accompanied by adults. Please wear comfortable clothing and consider sun protection.
