This Australian premiere brings Eileen Browne's beloved book to life with physical performance, live music, and song. Children will be enchanted by the cheeky animals and the seven delicious fruits Handa carries on her journey.
This immersive show invites young audiences to sit on cushions and mats around the stage, creating a close-up and engaging environment. Kids can sing along and even join in the dancing at the end, making it a joyful experience for the whole family.

The performance runs for approximately 45 minutes, including a 35-minute show and 10 minutes of playtime. On Friday 2 October, after the 11:45am show, there is a special post-show artist talk where children can ask questions and learn about the inspiration behind the show.
Recommended for ages 2 to 5, with babes in arms under 2 admitted free on the knee. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The show takes place in the Utzon Room at Sydney Opera House, located on the eastern side in front of the Joan Sutherland Theatre. The venue is pram accessible with lifts and pram parking available.
Sydney Opera House is easily reached by public transport including bus, train, ferry, and light rail, with a 7-10 minute walk from Circular Quay. Car parking is available via Wilson Parking with discounts for advance bookings.
Foyers open 90 minutes before the show, with refreshments available for purchase. The venue is smoke-free and has security screening on entry.
Please arrive early as doors open 30 minutes before the show. Latecomers may be seated at a suitable break to minimize disruption.
