What to Expect
Dive into an exciting STEM workshop designed especially for children aged 7 to 12. Using Honeywell’s Dragster STEM kits, kids will learn about important scientific concepts like friction, air drag, and forces in a hands-on and engaging way. This workshop encourages creativity and problem-solving as children build and race their own vehicles.
Led by passionate Robogals facilitators from UNSW, this session inspires young minds to explore engineering and technology. It’s a perfect opportunity for your child to gain confidence and have fun with STEM.
The 90-minute workshop combines learning with play, making complex ideas accessible and enjoyable for school-aged children.
Activity Details
Participants will work with Honeywell's Dragster STEM kits to design and build vehicles. They will then race their creations to see how friction and other forces affect speed and movement. The session is interactive and guided by experienced volunteers dedicated to fostering interest in STEM fields.
Children under 11 must be supervised by an adult during the event. The workshop follows NSW Health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
