Enjoy two powerful documentaries: "First Lore," showcasing Aboriginal perspectives on environmental stewardship, and "Forest Country," which documents local forest impacts and community efforts to protect native ecosystems. These films set the stage for a deeper understanding of forest conservation challenges.
Following the films, a fire behaviour scientist will present current research on planned burning and its effects on fire risk and ecosystem health. The evening concludes with a panel discussion featuring filmmakers and the scientist, fostering community engagement and action.

The forum runs from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, 13 August 2026, at The Memo in Healesville. It includes:

- A 45-minute presentation by Dr Philip Zylstra on fire management research.
