What to Expect
The Holiday Activities Committee (HAC) offers an exciting opportunity for young people aged 12 to 16 to step into leadership roles during the school holidays. Participants will collaborate to design fun, creative, and healthy activities for their peers, fostering new friendships and building confidence.
This program is perfect for those who want to develop leadership skills, learn to facilitate events, and make a positive impact in their community. Attending the sessions is free, and participants get to be peer leaders during the holiday activities.
Activity Details
The program runs every Tuesday for four consecutive weeks during Term 3, from 25 August to 15 September 2026. Each session is scheduled from 16:30 to 18:30, providing a structured yet engaging environment for young people to grow and contribute.
Eligibility requires participants to be between 12 and 16 years old, currently attending secondary school, and have a significant connection to the Greater Dandenong area through living, working, or studying.
Location and Access
Sessions take place at Greater Dandenong Youth Services, located at 39 Clow Street, Dandenong. The venue is accessible and welcoming, with staff available to provide additional assistance if required.
This central location makes it easy for local youth to attend and engage with the program, ensuring a supportive community atmosphere.

Participation in the Holiday Activities Committee is free, but an expression of interest is required to join. The program encourages inclusivity and offers support for any additional needs to ensure all eligible young people can participate fully.
