Get ready for a fun-filled day combining creativity and relaxation at the Holiday Mayhem: Pottery Excursion and Tacos. This event invites young participants to dive into the art of pottery with expert guidance, followed by a delicious taco lunch and chill time with friends. It's a perfect blend of hands-on craft and social enjoyment.
Participants will be transported to Fra's Ceramics in Fremantle where they will learn to shape their own unique pottery piece, no prior experience needed. After the creative session, the group returns to The Castle youth centre for a tasty taco feast and some well-deserved downtime.
This event is designed to inspire creativity, encourage social connections, and provide a refreshing break during the school holidays. It's ideal for teenagers who want to try something new and make lasting memories.
The excursion is open to young people aged 10 to 18 years. Participants will meet at The Castle youth centre at 09:00 before heading to Fra's Ceramics in Fremantle. It is important that participants arrive on time as alternative transport is the responsibility of parents or guardians.
During the pottery workshop, Francesca Geronimo, a skilled artist and facilitator, will guide the group through the pottery-making process in a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants should bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Lunch, consisting of tacos, will be provided back at The Castle youth centre, offering a chance to unwind and socialize after the creative session. The event runs until 14:00, ensuring a full but manageable day of activities.
The event starts at The Castle youth centre in Gosnells, where participants gather at 09:00. From there, transport is provided to Fra's Ceramics in Fremantle for the pottery workshop.
After the workshop, the group returns to The Castle youth centre for lunch and relaxation. Parents and guardians should ensure timely drop-off and pick-up, and provide alternative transport if participants are late.
The venues are accessible and provide a safe, welcoming environment for young people to explore their creativity and enjoy social time.
Participants must be aged between 10 and 18 years; registrations for those outside this range will be cancelled. It is essential to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
If a participant is unwell, they are discouraged from attending to ensure the health and safety of all involved. Venue capacity limits may be enforced to maintain a comfortable and safe environment.

The cost is $17.50 per participant. If a registered participant can no longer attend, please cancel their place promptly to allow others the opportunity to join.
