What to Expect
Discover a unique opportunity for performance artists to showcase their works-in-progress in a welcoming and encouraging environment. This program invites artists with fresh ideas or bite-sized excerpts to share their creativity with a live audience and receive valuable feedback.
Hosted at Next Wave in Brunswick, the event combines the intimacy of a scratch night with the warmth of an afternoon tea, creating a relaxed yet rigorous space for artistic growth. Whether your piece is a song, spoken word, dance, or a multidisciplinary hybrid, this is your chance to develop your work alongside peers and mentors.
Audience members play a vital role, guided by facilitator Liv Satchell on how to provide constructive feedback, making it a collaborative and enriching experience for all.
Activity Details
The program offers two sessions on Saturdays: 13 June 2026 and 27 June 2026, each running from 11:00 to 16:00, with the public presentation from 13:00 to 16:00. Artists must be available for the entire session for preparation and presentation.
Eligibility requires living, working, or studying in Merri-bek, with a 5–15 minute live performance excerpt ready to share. A one-on-one digital meeting with the facilitator will help tailor feedback and prepare artists for the event.
