Insect Agency invites families to dive into the incredible diversity and importance of insects in our world. This engaging exhibition showcases how insects contribute to ecosystems, agriculture, and even inspire new technologies, making them true six-legged superheroes.
Discover more than 1,000 insect specimens, including tiny wasps, brightly coloured butterflies, Dracula ants, dung beetles, and stick insects. Experience nearly all 349 species of Queensland butterflies on display, representing over 75% of Australia's butterfly species. Learn fascinating facts, such as the Dracula Ant's jaw snapping speed of 320 kilometres per hour. Enjoy interactive games like Metamorphosis Match, Bug Builder, and Insect Sorter that educate and entertain.
This exhibition is family-friendly and suitable for school-aged children, offering hands-on learning and photo opportunities with striking insect displays.
