What to Expect
This engaging course is designed specifically for those with little to no computer experience. It offers a gentle introduction to essential digital skills, helping participants gain confidence with everyday technology.
You will learn how to navigate Windows 11, use the internet safely, and manage your files effectively. The course also covers practical applications such as accessing myGov, eBay, and My Health Record.
Additionally, you will be introduced to Zoom, learning how to join meetings with or without video and audio, making it easier to stay connected with family and friends.
Activity Details
The course runs every Thursday from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, starting on 5 February and concluding on 26 March 2026. It consists of multiple sessions designed to build your skills progressively.
Topics include:
- Familiarity with Windows 11 icons and the Start Menu
- Internet browsing and accessing key online services
- File management and saving files to a USB stick
- Introduction to Zoom video conferencing
The fee for the entire term is $20, making it an affordable way to boost your digital literacy.
Location and Access
Classes take place at the Cheltenham Community Centre, located at 8 Chesterville Road, Cheltenham 3192.
The venue is accessible by walking, cycling, or public transport, encouraging participants to leave their cars at home to reduce environmental impact.

Important Information
This course is tailored for adults who are beginners with computers, so no prior experience is necessary.
Please bring a USB stick if you want to practice saving and managing files during the sessions.
