This lively event features the Havana Club Orquestra, a 14-piece mambo powerhouse that brings the spirit of the Buena Vista Social Club to life. Activity Details

Havana Club Orquestra revives the irresistible sound of 1950s and 60s Cuban/New York dance music with driving percussion, rich vocals, and a big horn section. Led by musical director Alex Howroyd, the band delivers tight arrangements and explosive solos that celebrate iconic Afro-Cuban music legends.

The event is part of the Summer in the Park series, which offers free cultural and music events throughout the season. It is an LGBTQIA+ safe space with a zero-tolerance policy for anti-social behaviour.

Feel free to bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol, and enjoy the picnic-style setup as the sun sets.

Location and Access

The event takes place at Riversdale Park, located at 661 Riversdale Road, Camberwell VIC 3124. The park offers ample space to spread out a rug and pick your favourite spot to enjoy the music.

Some refreshments will be available for sale on-site. Please remember to dispose of all rubbish in dedicated bins to keep the park clean and enjoyable for everyone.

The venue is accessible by public transport and has nearby parking options.
