Immerse your children in the natural beauty of the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, a stunning urban bushland sanctuary. This engaging day offers a unique opportunity for young ecologists to explore aquatic life, conduct bird surveys, and create nature-inspired art.
Kids will enjoy bushwalking along the Muller Trail to Ku-ring-gai Creek, where they will learn to dip net and identify fascinating aquatic critters. The day also includes fun exploration time by the creek, fostering new friendships and a love for the environment.
In the afternoon, children will create mixed media food chain artworks and hunt for insects and bugs to examine closely, blending creativity with scientific discovery.
This full-day program runs from 09:00 to 16:00 and is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years. It combines outdoor adventure with educational activities, making it perfect for school holiday fun.
Participants will:
- Walk the Muller Trail and explore Ku-ring-gai Creek
- Learn aquatic dip netting and critter identification
- Conduct a bird survey
- Create mixed media food chain artwork

Please ensure children wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen for outdoor activities. Weather-appropriate clothing is recommended as activities will be held rain or shine.
