Activity Details
The event is suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years and involves walking less than 1km on uneven terrain with some stairs on Bare Island. The grade is easy, but parents should be aware of the physical requirements. All children must be accompanied by adults. The program runs from 10:30am to 12:00pm, with arrival recommended by 10:00am.
Location and Access
The event takes place at the La Perouse area in Kamay Botany Bay National Park, Sydney. The meeting point is the Bare Island gate. There is no wheelchair access due to the terrain and stairs. Park entry fees apply in the Kurnell area, but not in La Perouse. Visitors should bring a hat, sunscreen, drinking water, and a raincoat.
Important Information
Bookings are required and can be made by phone or online. The event is designed to be safe and enjoyable, but parents should prepare for outdoor conditions and uneven walking surfaces. The La Perouse park entry gate is closed to vehicles between 7pm and 5am year-round. Weather or fire danger may cause area closures.
