These balance bike lessons offer a fantastic way for children to learn the fundamentals of bike movement and balance in a fun, supportive environment. Designed for kids aged 3 to 8, the sessions encourage family involvement, making it a perfect opportunity for quality time with your child.
During the lessons, children will break down the skill of balancing on a bike into manageable parts, helping them build confidence and coordination. Parents or carers are required to participate actively, supporting their child's learning journey. Balance bikes and helmets are provided, but bringing your child's bike without training wheels is encouraged.
These interactive classes are limited in capacity and reserved exclusively for Willoughby Council residents. Each child can attend only one session, and no drop-ins or walk-ins are accepted. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the session to ensure safety and engagement.
The lessons take place at the Willoughby Leisure Centre, specifically on the lower netball courts located at 2 Small Street, Willoughby, NSW 2068. The venue is accessible and family-friendly, providing a safe outdoor space for children to practice their balance skills.
Please note this event is free but requires prior booking due to limited spots. Helmets and balance bikes are supplied, but bringing your own bike without training wheels is recommended. Only residents of Willoughby Council can participate, and each child is allowed one session only.
