Experience a lively day by the lake filled with music, food trucks, market stalls, and roving performers that bring the community together. Children will delight in free activities such as craft workshops, circus fun, and face painting, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
Be captivated by unique performances including giant puppets, circus acts, and live music from local and headline artists. Engage with local emergency services and admire classic cars on display, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Celebrate Cultural Diversity Week on the Harmony Day Stage with intercultural performances and workshops under the theme “Culture Connects Us All.” The day culminates with a spectacular twilight fireworks display over Lake Caroline.
The event runs from 12:00 to 20:00 on Saturday, 21 March 2026, featuring continuous live music, food trucks, market stalls, and roaming performers. Free family activities are available until 18:30, including craft workshops and circus entertainment.
The Harmony Day Stage hosts cultural performances and activities between 12:00 and 17:00, while the main stage features headline acts leading up to the fireworks at approximately 20:00. Note that fireworks timing may change due to weather.
Safety and accessibility are priorities, with first aid, lost children’s wristbands, accessible toilets, and a sensory-friendly chill-out zone available. The event is alcohol-free and supported by Victoria Police.
Lakeside Alive takes place at Lake Caroline, Lake Street, Caroline Springs, 3023. Parking is available in surrounding areas, with accessible parking at CS Square Shopping Centre.
Lake Street will be closed from 04:00 on event day until 01:00 the following day to ensure crowd safety. Public transport is encouraged, though some bus routes may be affected by the road closure.
Accessible ramps and toilets are provided, and trained service animals are welcome. A sensory-friendly zone offers a quiet space for those needing a break from the excitement.
This is a free community event with food and beverages available for purchase from local vendors. Attendees may bring their own food, chairs, and picnic rugs but no alcohol or drones.
Prepare for the fireworks display by bringing ear protection if noise sensitivity is a concern, and ensure pets are comfortable and secure. Lost property and lost children’s locations will be staffed throughout the event.
Photography will be conducted by the council; inform staff if you prefer not to be photographed. The event is family-friendly and inclusive, with social stories available to help visitors navigate the day.
Lakeside Alive 2026 is free to attend, with no bookings required. Food and market purchases are at attendees’ discretion.
