Learn to use 'blocks' to build the code for your own unique arcade game. You will design the level, the characters and draw your own projectiles, enemies and more!
What to Expect
Join us for a fun and educational coding workshop where you'll learn the basics of coding and create your own arcade game. Using Microsoft 'Makecode' Arcade, you'll learn to use 'blocks' to build the code for your own unique game. You'll design the level, the characters, and draw your own projectiles, enemies, and more! Your games will be loaded onto our mini arcade-game machine and displayed for anyone to play in the library!

- This event is for ages 12 to 18 years.
- Bookings are required for each session you wish to attend.
- Bookings open approximately one month prior to each session.
- This event is for library members. If you aren't a library member yet, don't worry, you can join online now.
- If you are unable to attend the course, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate.
- The ticket is not transferable.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time.
- Due to the safety and enjoyment of participants, we are unable to admit latecomers to the room after the start time.
