Discover the joy of cycling with our free Learn to Ride workshops designed for beginners and those looking to regain confidence on their bikes. These sessions are perfect for parents wanting to encourage safe and confident riding skills in their children or themselves.
Over the course of June, participants will engage with experienced instructors who will guide them through practical skills such as braking, turning, gear shifting, and safe riding techniques in a supportive and friendly environment.
The final workshop focuses on eScooter safety, tailored for participants aged 16 and over, covering essential road rules, safe riding behavior, and practical handling skills like balance and controlled braking.
The workshop series runs every Saturday in June from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, starting on the 6th and concluding on the 27th. The first three sessions concentrate on bike riding skills and confidence building, while the last session is dedicated to eScooter education.
These workshops are suitable for all ages and skill levels, making them an excellent opportunity for families to learn and practice together. Registration is required to secure your spot.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes and helmets to make the most of the practical sessions. Comfortable clothing and water bottles are also recommended.
All workshops take place at Kyilla Primary School, located in the City of Vincent. The venue is accessible by public transport and offers convenient parking options nearby.
Kyilla Primary School provides a safe and spacious environment ideal for learning cycling skills, with flat surfaces and designated areas for practical exercises.
Parents can easily drop off and pick up their children, making it a stress-free experience for busy families.
The workshops are free of charge, but places are limited, so early registration is advised. The eScooter session on June 27 is restricted to participants aged 16 years and over.
Safety is a priority; all participants must wear helmets during bike sessions. For the eScooter workshop, participants should bring their own eScooter if possible.
In case of inclement weather, sessions may be rescheduled or canceled with prior notice to registered participants.
Registration is required to attend these workshops and can be completed online via the City of Vincent website. There is no cost to participate, making this an accessible opportunity for all community members.
Families are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment as spots fill quickly.
