What to Expect
This engaging online workshop invites parents and primary carers of children aged 0-8 with developmental delays or disabilities to explore the vital connection between their wellbeing and their child's outcomes. You will discover how nurturing your own health and happiness can positively influence your child's learning, behaviour, and development.
The session introduces the PERMA wellbeing framework from positive psychology, providing practical, evidence-based strategies that you can incorporate into your daily life. This supportive environment is facilitated by trained parent-peer workers who understand the unique challenges families face.
You will participate in interactive activities designed to shift your mindset from survival mode to empowerment, gaining insight into how small, realistic steps can enhance wellbeing for the whole family.
Activity Details
The workshop is delivered live online via Zoom, allowing you to join from anywhere in Australia. It runs on Tuesday, 5 May 2026, from 19:30 to 21:00 AEST/Sydney time. Please adjust for your local time zone if necessary.
This session is free of charge but requires RSVP to secure your place. A minimum of four participants is needed for the session to proceed. The workshop is designed specifically for families and is not open to professionals at this time.
Recordings are made only for internal supervision and are not shared externally, so attending live will give you the best experience and opportunity to ask questions.

The workshop is funded by the NSW Department of Education Start Strong Pathways program, ensuring it remains free and accessible.
