Discover the joy of transforming everyday jars into beautiful, useful items during this fun and engaging craft session. Perfect for primary school children, this activity encourages creativity and environmental awareness by upcycling materials.
Children will have the chance to decorate jars using tape, stickers, paint, and tissue paper. Whether making a lantern, pen pot, or treasure box, each child will leave with a unique creation.
This event is designed to inspire young minds to think about recycling in a fun and artistic way, making it a perfect school holiday activity.
The craft session runs for one hour, providing ample time for children to explore different decorating techniques and complete their projects. Guardians are asked to stay nearby to support their children if needed.
Tickets must be booked for each child attending, and spaces are limited to ensure a quality experience for all participants. Please cancel if you cannot attend to allow others to join.
This event is suitable for primary school-aged children and is free of charge, making it an accessible and enjoyable option for families.
The event takes place at Ashburton Library, located at 154 High Street, Ashburton VIC 3147. The library is a welcoming community space with easy access and parking nearby.
Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to settle in and prepare for the craft activity. The library also offers other children’s programs and resources that parents might find useful.
Public transport options and parking details can be found on the City of Boroondara website to assist with planning your visit.
Bookings open on Friday 27 March at 10 am, and early registration is recommended due to limited spaces. Guardians must remain in the vicinity of the library during the event.
Please ensure children come dressed in clothes suitable for crafting, as paint and glue may be involved. All materials will be provided.

This event is free to attend, but booking is essential. Tickets are available from 27 March at 10 am via the library’s online registration system.
