What to Expect
Step into a unique storytelling experience led by Peter Salmon, a 92-year-old stockman, songwriter, and Thiinma Elder. This workshop invites you to explore and record your own life stories in a warm, casual setting. Activity Details
This two-hour workshop will take place on September 15, 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00. It is hosted at the Addie Mills Centre, located within the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre in Thornlie, WA. The session is free but requires prior booking, exclusively available to City of Gosnells residents.
Participants will learn techniques for recollecting and recording life stories, guided by Peter Salmon’s expertise and Rosie Sitorus’s musical and linguistic support. This is a rare opportunity to engage with a living cultural treasure and develop your storytelling skills.
