What to Expect
Living Longer Living Stronger is a welcoming exercise program tailored to help you improve your strength, balance, and mobility. Whether you are new to exercise or have limited fitness, the program is designed for all ability levels with individual assessments and personalized exercise plans.
The classes are led by qualified exercise professionals trained through Council on the Ageing NSW (COTA), ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Regular attendance will help you gradually build strength and confidence in your movements.
Beyond physical benefits, the program fosters social connections, providing a friendly space to meet new people and enjoy group activities.
Activity Details
This program runs weekly on Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00, starting on 2027-02-05 and concluding on 2027-12-17. Note that classes will not be held on 2027-04-16, 2027-04-23, 2027-07-09, 2027-07-16, 2027-10-01, and 2027-10-08.
Each session lasts one hour and costs $6.50 per adult. The program is also available at other community centres on different days.
Bookings are essential to participate, and you can reserve your spot by contacting SHARE.
Location and Access
Classes take place at Cliff Noble Community Centre, located at the corner of Renwick and Suttor Streets, Alexandria NSW 2015. The centre offers free 2-hour street parking and is accessible by bus 309 from Redfern station to Mitchell Road, followed by a 20-minute walk.
The community centre is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 15:30 and provides amenities such as free computer use, photocopier/scanner, wifi, table tennis, and refreshments including tea, coffee, and biscuits.
