Create a special moment that becomes part of a larger shared artwork at State Library Victoria. This engaging craft session invites children to construct their own photo frames and fill them with a meaningful memory, inspired by the book These Long-Loved Things by Josh Pyke and Ronojoy Ghosh.
Children aged 5-12 will enjoy a creative and reflective experience where they can draw, write, or imagine their favourite place, object, person, feeling, or fleeting moment. Parents or carers are required to stay for the entire session, ensuring a supportive environment for the kids.
This is a free drop-in event running on weekends in August from 3pm to 5pm. No bookings are necessary, so families can come anytime during the session hours. Participants can take their photo frame home or add it to the growing installation at the Library, contributing to a collective artwork.
